Open Tuning Films

Introduction: At Open Tuning Films, I help people and organizations capture and share their vital stories. I use professional video and audio tools to film individuals and families; working artists; small businesses; non-profit organizations; schools; neighborhoods or communities; faith communities; and others. I help them tell their essential stories through thoughtful, insightful interviews. We then blend additional footage, photographs and music to create short films. I'm an award-winning community journalist. I worked for five years at both community newspapers and radio, and then more than 17 years in community healthcare marketing and public relations. I'm a life-long writer, editor, photographer and designer. I bring a journalist's eye and a storyteller's craft to the short films I produce collaboratively with my clients. Through both my professional and personal experiences, I've come to understand that one of the most important things in life is connecting and sharing with others in a real, personal way that showcases your history, passion, vision, goals and achievements. That's not a soft sentiment: to share with and learn from others is the basis for a more satisfying life and more successful engagement with all current and potential customers and audiences.
