Introduction: My goal as your therapist is to provide the maximum value available to you as a client. So, my sessions with clients are 90 minutes in length because 90 minute sessions have been demonstrated by research as being the most effective. I have found that 90 minute sessions create more momentum and progress both during sessions and between sessions. In addition to creating more value from our work together by doing 90 minute sessions, this session length results in fewer sessions being needed, thus requiring you to take less time off of work, school and family commitments for sessions.
Through our work together, my approach is to empower you to improve yourself, your relationships and your life, by providing greater awareness, perspective, knowledge, skills and support to enable you to reach your unique goals.
My other goals include:
-Creating a comfortable, supportive, confidential and healthy working relationship with you,
-Gaining a solid understanding of you and your situation,
-Assisting you in setting goals to create the changes you want, and
-Empowering and supporting you in reaching those goals.
The strategies and processes I use will be based specifically on your individual situation, needs, and goals.
I believe that you have inherent worthregardless of your past, your struggles or shortcomings! I genuinely care about where you have come from and where you are nowphysically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.
I believe most everyone can benefit from counseling at some point in their lives. I believe the support and perspective of a compassionate therapist can empower you to heal, grow and accomplish more of what is truly important to you.
