Introduction: My therapeutic niche is relationship counseling that focuses on collaboration with individuals and couples who choose to strengthen connection to self, partners and loved ones. The environment in therapy to create change includes: effective listening, providing options, giving feedback, and establishing trust. The ability to assess each client and couple's culture allows for unique options customized to the client. My niche is supported by a deliberate focus on relationships and the development of necessary skills needed for my profession: educated and licensed in marriage and family therapy, specifically trained in effective therapeutic modalities for couples. Experience and training to assess and address problematic patterns, distress cycles, blocks, trauma and family history. Each individual and couple's strengths are built upon and fostered. I am passionate about my career as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Since my focus and training are on relationships, over half of my client's are couples. I advocate for marriage and believe most marriages can be successful if new skills and ways of being in relationship are learned. I enjoy working with couples that are dedicated to creating change, open minded to new challenges, and willing to grow within and together. I am actively involved in the counseling process, and my values are compassion, humor, simplicity and collaboration. As a therapist, I believe it is essential to create a healthy therapeutic relationship based on honesty and authenticity, to facilitate potential change. I strive to access current cutting edge treatment to assist clients to create, maintain and sustain results.
