FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Meet with each party in complimentary consultation to collect information, documents and get an understanding of what each party wants. Parties are encouraged to complete a questionnaire that help me know their perspectives. A mediation is set up after I have had time to do research of all issues discussed in consultations. Attorneys are welcome to attend the mediation if the parties wish to have them present. A signed agreement is the ultimate goal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters Degree in Counseling, Certification from Dispute Resolution Services, Basic Training and Advanced Training and Certifications from National Institute for Mediation.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a school counselor for 23 years, I was in charge of training and overseeing the peer mediation program. After retiring, I opened my own mediation practice in San Antonio.
