- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You can call us or go to fivestarpainting.com/san-diego/ to set up a free estimate. Once you've scheduled your estimate, we will come out to your home and provide you a full, itemized quote onsite. During the estimate, we will discuss color options, design ideas and project requirements.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We service a wide range of customers including home owners looking to add some color to the inside of their homes, those needing full exterior repaints, and business owners needing durable, beautiful new floors and walls.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
1. Check their complaint record with the Better Business Bureau. 2. Ask them how long they have been painting and how many jobs they have done. At Five Star Painting, we have accumulated over 40,000 completed projects over the last 10 years. 3. Avoid full-up front payments. A financially strong company with good workmanship will not ask for full payment up front. We will not ask for a final payment until the job is completed and you are 100% satisfied. Also, the California Contractors State License Board limits all contractors from collecting more than 10% of the total price or $1,000, whichever is less. 4. Make sure they accept major credit cards. It is easier to contest poor workmanship or incomplete work on a credit card bill rather than on a cash or check payment. 5. Ask for written documentation. Any good painter will be able to provide materials proving their experience and qualifications to perform your job.
