FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't accept insurance. However, most therapist don't either. On average, therapy can cost up to $150. I charge $75 for the initial assessment (which is 90 mins long) and $50 for regular single session (50 mins long). We can discuss discounts for a bundle of sessions if interested.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I strongly advocate for long term therapy, which typically is 4-12 months. I believe everyone is unique and complex. Therefore it takes time to peel back the layers and not just fix what's on the surface, but rather address the core issues. I typically use the first 3-4 sessions gathering information and getting to know my clients and from there, I am able to identify some core issues. After identifying core issues with the client, I work with the client on developing a plan on how to address them. It is a working relationship and while I am there to assist in the process, the real work is done by the client so that they are able to one day leave therapy and function independently.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a M.A. In Mental Health Clinical Counseling. I have served individuals as young as 7 and as old as 75. I've worked in residential treatment facilities, psychiatric hospitals, family homes, and I have a private practice. I have dedicated over a decade of my career to mental health and serving those in need.
