- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Minimum order is $150 and/or 10 pieces.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a prospective customer to provide a few details to determine if I can help with their needs. 1) How soon must the project/order be completed? 2) How many items (of the same kind) are to be embroidered? 3) If the embroidery will include graphics, is vector artwork available?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I purchased my first machine (a 6-needle) in October 2010, and attended a 2-day workshop soon afterwards to learn the basics. Within 2 years, I knew I needed a bigger machine and upgraded to a 10-needle. Most of what I know that makes me very good at what I do, came from experience. There are many variables in embroidery, and new designs must be sewn out as a "test", before production begins. Anything less than perfect will require adjustments to one or more variables.
