Angela has been our family immigration lawyer for over 10 years. The first time I met her, I was accompanying my aunt for an initial consultation. I remember how anxious, overwhelmed and intimidated my aunt felt about the immigration process in general, having dealt with the agency and other lawyers. I also remember her leaving Angela's office relieved and with a big smile on her face. Where can I start? After having my first n-400 application denied the first time, I thought I would try my luck again after serving a 5 year penalty by the ofgicer in my case first time around. He basically called me a liar and made me sign a document confessing that I lied for not declaring my income when I was working overseas. I honestly did not know and I even estimated my income 30% more than I made once he told me you to go and settle this with the IRS. After paying close to 30,000 in taxes and settling everything, he still denies the application. Sorry for blabbing, but then I found Angela Warren and sent get an enquiry explaining. The hook for me with Angela was the minute she said Middle Eastern applicants might sometimes go through such experiences. I thought, she understands. So I hired her. I did not see more than a 50/50 for me to get my citizenship this time around after serving out the 5 year penalty, but Angela put together an opening argument on paper sent with my application that obviously obliterated any doubts, questions the immigration might have had in the large case file they had in record, she applied on my behalf on February 23rd 2016 and on December 6th 2016, I became an American citizen after 23 years of immigrating to the US. A great feeling of accomplishment and belonging was what I felt in that day, it was literally one of my if not the most important goal of my life that I have achieved. It would not have been possible if it was not for Angela, her understanding of me, my case and the entire system. It was personality during the interview and her confidence and prep ahead of it. For that I will always be grateful for she did. I would like to also mention her team represented in her ass I ate, Karina who was always there golliwing in every detail and ensuring things are happening according to plan. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Firsr, I like to have contact either by email or phone. Then, I give a free 5-10 minute free consultation. The consultation is general. Then, the future client can come into the office or have a consultation over the phone. This consultation is specific and especially tailored to the client's individual immigration matter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. I am a member of the California State Bar. The California State Bar has the most difficult bar exam. I am also a graduate of the American Immigration Law Association Trial School and I frequently undergo continuing legal education from the California State Bar International Law Section.
