FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My method may seem a little unconventional to some. I'd like to think that the service I provide errs more on the personal development side. That's why I like to begin each session with a quick little interview. This way, I can get to know each of my clients and really get to the heart of the matter. What they hope to gain from this session, what their relationship with clothing is like, etc. After the interview, there will be some homework! I believe that if you really want to make a change in your life, even if it just involves your wardrobe, you got to put in the work and time. After the homework is complete, the actual cleanse begins!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from SFSU with a bachelors of science in Apparel Merchandising. For a regular paycheck, I am a Branding and Communications Specialist with a tech company in SF.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I could talk, I've been a total clothes horse. There wasn't much to do in my sleepy town, so my weekends were spent flipping through fashion mags or at the mall browsing the racks. Working in consignment for over 5 years and working in fashion retail for 10 really opened my eyes. It was there I learned that to be timeless, you don't need the latest designer fashions or trends (though they are fun at times!). What you're looking for may be hiding in your closet right now. After whittling my own closet down to my personal essentials, I began to preach to my friends the importance of loving what you wear and living as minimalist as possible.
