Rene has taught me the value of exercising properly. I am a former athlete, who played competitive volleyball, but once I stopped playing I found it hard to continue my regular routine without my team. He helped me transition into working out on my own and introduced me to weight lifting. I've always been athletic but never did I imagine that I could be as strong as I am today and look as good as I do. He's great at pushing you when you need that extra push. He's very knowledgeable and quick to give advise. I really like that he doesn't give generic routines, he's creative and is always learning new things and passing it off to me. I highly recommend his services. I have been training with him a little over 2 years now and it's the best decision that I've ever made for myself.

I've been training with Rene for just over a year and have been really impressed with the progress we've made together. Also just as important to someone in their early 40s, we've done it with no injuries. I was very happy that Rene took into account past injuries and worked on a program that was progressive even if it meant taking a step back in some areas in the short term to work on flexibility and stabilizing muscles.

Extremely fortunate to have been able to find a trainer with his level of expertise. To begin I was very impressed with the knowledge and explanation behind every stretch Rene has me do prior to my workouts, this in itself separates Rene from most trainers in the industry. The workouts themselves are always catered to my abilities and goals, leaving me with an extreme feeling of accomplishment and progress to prove it. To end let me just say that after years of attempting to train on my own, I haven't achieved the amount of progress I have made only months after I began training with Rene. This is your new trainer!

    I offer a free one hour consultation on our first meeting where we can discuss your goals and conduct a fitness assessment.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am a Certified Personal Trainer, a certified Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) practitioner, and I graduated from San Francisco State with a degree in Kinesiology.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I went to school and studied exercise science (Kinesiology) and I fell into personal training because I loved helping people with their goals.
