FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I approach personal style and custom design as I would any design project. First I want to know what has inspired you to message me, specifically your vision, goals, and ideals. I want to know what you like about your style now and what you are wanting to change. Because I have such a comprehensive background in fashion and beauty, working with me is entirely customizable, so the more I know the more I can hone in on a strategy for the result you want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MFA Fashion Design, coursework and workshops on design trends, design composition, color theory, fashion history, art history, fashion styling, design and layout, photoshop and illustrator, photography, sewing and fashion construction, costume design, stage make-up, and beauty make-up. 20 years of dance training in ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, Pilates, and yoga
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The scope of my projects is varied. Since I own an art framing business, the most frequent type of customer I work with are people wanting to frame their art. This generally involves a look at their personal preferences and an in-depth discussion on what type of frame design will match their home decor and enhance the presentation of the art. For fashion, I have assisted in all levels of production in fashion shows, photoshoots, fashion styling, design, and brand development. This requires exceptional communication to a team of people and ability to work under a time constraint. I have found personal styling to be the most fitting to incorporate all my experience because I love the individual work I do in my store, and since I know so much about fashion and beauty the two go hand in hand.
