FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most coaches require months-long contracts and commitments which cost many thousands of dollars. They’ll insist on weekly calls for several months and rehash ancient history that really isn't necessary. Clients appreciate my direct, concise and to-the-point approach. I only work with people who are focused and committed to making a change in their job and career. There's no need to drag out this process. This is an exciting process that all too often gets a bad rap. This proprietary fast-track three-part process takes place over 3 hours over a 3 week period. The first session takes one full hour. All subsequent sessions last anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes. The total cost for this information-packed fast-track career coaching is $1,500.00 payable in two installments; the first installment to start the work, the second installment after the second hour is completed. Please read further and watch the brief 9-minute clip to learn what we'll cover should you decide to work with me. Please ... when you reach to out me, under the "Message" header, provide as much detail as possible about your current work or career issues, and what you would like to accomplish working together. Given how Thumbtack works, I can not respond to inquiries that do not provide these details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first session is an assessment and evaluation where we take an in-depth look at your skill-sets, predilections, preferences, strengths, orientations, past experience and areas of interest. This is a 1 hour session, our longest session together. It is here we determine areas of focus for your job/career search. The next part of the process is opportunity exploration where we discuss the many ways to explore opportunities and the art of networking. Our final sessions revolve around editing your resume and Linkedin profile, providing you with the proper format and examples of cover letters, as well as interview prep where we discuss interviewing "do's and don'ts." Most clients prefer to leave the final half hour to discuss specific jobs they're applying for. This gives us a chance to practically apply everything we've covered against real-life scenarios.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In college, I studied people as a sociology major. I'm always fascinated by the decisions people make, how they process things and why they do what they do. People still fascinate me but I now understand how motivations, fears, and desires play into our decisions, especially as related to work. I understand how the mind works, how every one of us loops the same stories again and again in our heads, and how most of these stories are not true. I'm also involved in the healing arts, work with people in crisis, and those facing end of life issues.
