FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work generally for a set fee which is determined by a per project estimate. This is billed twice, one half at the beginning and one half at completion. However, I am happy to accommodate most any type of payment schedule.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical initial process includes communication via email and phone to find out more about the client's project needs and expectations in terms of timing and design specifications. A timeline is set so that I and the client know what to expect and when to expect to see progress and a final deliverable. I like to follow a timeline as closely as possible so that the project is completed on time. I offer a specific number of solutions for each project and those are presented either in person or over email. The initial ideas are discussed, one is selected and final preparation is completed either for a print project, a website project or any other type of design work. I am an open communicator and appreciate keeping the lines open. I make myself available any time of day to answer questions and to be a responsive partner in our work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's of Art in Applied Art & Design from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, as well as over 16 years of professional design experience working in high end design firms in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. I have worked with nonprofits and businesses to create award winning, successful design and marketing campaigns for the last 20 years. My expertise ranges from logo design, brochure and collateral design to annual reports, packaging, website design and design for social media.
