- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide a complementary consultation to discuss each customer's needs including: event type, size, flavors, color, and decor. When then suggest a tasting that ranges from $3-$5 per flavor and if hired at the tasting, the tasting is free. We stay in contact from the date we are hired until a couple days after the event. This is also to coordinate collecting any remaining items or unwanted leftovers (this mostly applies to weddings) if needed. Throughout the process we send photos of designs in progress to ensure it meets the customer's needs and allows us time to change and/or modify if necessary before the event. We also always offer a referral discount program and offer discounts towards future events as a thank you for choosing The Bake Ninja.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. from UCSD that as helped me with business management as well as customer service skills. I have owned several small businesses throughout the years, which ensures that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Our staff, myself included, are always attending continuing education classes online and locally. This helps us to gain insight into perfecting our artistry and learn new and improved techniques for delicate tasks such as flower making, molding chocolate, and various buttercream and fondant techniques.
