Before meeting Alejandra, I was having a really hard time establishing a workout routine in my schedule. I was unmotivated, bored with working out, and lacked a direction. As a result, I ended up doing what I was comfortable with: lackluster bench presses, and deadlifts. I am always apprehensive about personal trainers, and if I were ever to hire one, I made sure that they: 1) Challenged and pushed me just enough 2) Are effective in achieving my strength goals 3) Made working out enjoyable. Alejandra easily fit all three. Even from the first session, Alejandra showed me some exercise circuits that were really effective, fun, and challenging, which really put me back into the right mental state. Every hour was incredibly comprehensive, and I felt I gained something every minute. Alejandra really understood my comfort level, and chose just the right amount of weight and verbal encouragement to challenge me so that I felt a great sense of accomplishment after every workout! She’s very attentive the whole time working out, for example she would frequently call out poor posture, incorrect form, or even a too lengthy rest session. Tying it altogether, she made the workouts really fun; the exercise circuits were always different and focused on different parts of the body every time we met. We really utilized every part of the gym, and I was able to learn an abundance of workouts I can choose from for when I workout alone. She is truly fantastic! When I first met Ally, I thought I was in very good shape. I thought I would never hire a trainer. And, I didn’t realize that I just met an extraordinary special individual in all ways. I grew up playing multiple team sports, spent countless hours in the gym, participated in many long distance races, and followed several online training regiments, including P90X to Bodybuilding.com. And, I never saw the need to spend money on a trainer. After Ally very politely pointed out that I could improve results by adjusting my form with a particular exercise while watching me work out alone at the gym, she had my attention. She had it; because I wasn’t achieving the results I wanted, was working out with self-induced injuries and was losing my desire to go to the gym. So, I decided to give her a shot. After asking, listening and probing to find out what my goals were, we got to work. In our first session she promptly told me that my form was horrible and that my core needed a LOT of work; which was when she informed me ever so humbly that she used to be a fitness competitor. It was then that I decided I’m all in and would do whatever Ally told me to do, which was a lot of truly valuable information about how to live healthy and with more energy. Initially, we dropped the heavy weights that I was abusing myself with; and instead, we focused on my core and form with light weights; and we started growing my stamina and flexibility with various cardio and stretching exercises in between sets (and I am given detailed homework on our off days to this day). Within a few weeks my back pain went away and my shoulder, previously injured, started getting stronger. Fast forward to today, I’m working out with the heavy weights again, but I’m pain free, have dropped 10 pounds, and am getting compliments about my healthy strong appearance and energy on a regular basis. Most importantly, I feel great and I owe it all to Ally. Ally has expertise with weights, stretching, hydration, nutrition, cardio, yoga...and she consults regularly with her whole Equinox team about my individual needs and goals to help maximize my results and her success as a trainer. Most importantly for me however, is Ally’s infectious positive energy she brings to each work out session, which makes me jump out of bed and head to the gym at 6:00 am three times a week. Though she’s a true professional and motivator; she’s an amazing human being with very high integrity and an amazing work ethic. She’s passionate about what she does, is driven to achieve goals, is very competitive with herself and others, and inspires me to be the best I can be. At the same time she’s fun, silly, smart, caring and has a huge heart. She’s rarely without a big smile. I’m now in the best shape ever been in, can’t imagine not having a trainer, and am truly blessed to be able to spend time with Ally. Feel free to contact me for a reference.

Had a wonderful time working with Alejandra. My goals were to strengthen my core/legs & improve my posture. Alejandra provided a well thought out and rigorous series of circuit work that greatly improved my form and strength. Very happy with results, learned to engage and utilize my core which has greatly improved my workout experience. Also decreased body fat percentage by 3% in just 8 sessions. Thanks, -Anthony Sarno

I have been working with Alejandra for 4 months now and it has completely changed the way I view going to the gym. Her energy, skill, and attention has already encouraged changes in my body, endurance, and strength. Each workout is perfectly tailored for me, my goals, and my progress. She has no issue pushing me to my limit but always takes into account my comfort levels. Now, with or without her, when I walk into the gym I know exactly what I need to do to keep pushing for my goals. Alejandra is an elite-level trainer who really works with your fitness goals and guides you to achieving results. She has a wealth of experience from being a fitness model to teaching weight training, cardio, mobility, and sports training, and she listens carefully to feedback during the training sessions. She also assigns relevant homework in between sessions, and utilizes the Bodyscan to track progress long term. Overall, Alejandra is the best trainer I have worked with over the years, and it's clear how invested she is in the health and well-being of her clients.
