I enjoy building relationships with my clients. I believe getting to know what inspires you is the best way for me to design a space that supports your goals. I love blending color and texture to create brilliance in a room. Design is much more than picking the right furniture or paint; it's about connecting those parts of us that express who we are. I am thrilled to be able to help my clients design amazing spaces that represent the best parts of who they are.
Christy is extremely good at what she does. She was always responsive and hands on. In addition to finding furniture, she even helped use set everything up. I would hire her again in a heart beat. She is the real deal.

I'm new and clueless when it comes to interior design. Christy were able to walk me through the whole process step by step from the beginning through the end. She was very professional, insightful, knowledgeable, and flexible with my budget. My place looks amazing thanks to Christy! I would recommend her at any day.

Helped us style our apartment!
My experience with Christy was a team effort. She is very kind, patient, and easy to communicate with via phone, text, and email. She is quick and happy to respond to all questions. After sharing my style on Pinterest and communicating likes/dislikes, Christy did a great job putting together all of the pieces. She emailed an "eDesign" type picture of each room concept, which helped to visualize the space and to make decisions. In the end I purchased some of her recommendations, but also found items on my own to complete the look. Happy with the final product and looking forward to settling into our new apartment.

Christy was vey helpful. She helped me design my apartment. I'm a bachelor, so interior design isn't my thing, but she made the process very easy for me. Also, she did a good job showing me what I could expect.

I hired Christy Lynn Abram to design our bedroom space. She came and took a look, took pictures, and we talked about my budget, likes, and style. It was an easy and relaxing first meeting. Then she set up a pintrist common board where we exchanged pictures & ideas. In just a few days she posted a color scheme and a purchase list including pictures and links to online purchase of the items. It was so easy!
My husband and I bought the items, painted the room, installed crown molding, changed the light fixture, and replaced some of the furniture. She came back to the house for the the final reveal. It is magnificent. It feels luxurious to have space that is so warm, inviting, clean, luxurious, and functional.
I hired her for our office space that day! We are now in the process of making that design a reality. I'm so excited!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, I have a brief phone conversation to get a better idea of your design needs. If you decide we're a good fit, we schedule a time to meet so I can see your space, and speak with them in depth about your design goals and expected outcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My initial training is very diverse and extends beyond interior design. I hold professional degrees/training in Interior Design, Behavioral Health Counseling, Communications and Green/Sustainable Design.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I meet with my clients to determine which pricing system works best for them. I offer hourly and flat rates.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked in behavioral health for a long while. I eventually got burned out and wanted to pursue a career that spoke to my creativity and love for art. I took a risk, and here I am!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with busy professionals, empty nesters, professional athletes and families.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had the opportunity to design a 1920's Art Deco inspired speakeasy. It was very cool! I loved being able to blend the new with the old. I created a very texture-rich space with soothing lighting and warm features. I absolutely loved that project! It was so fun.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would say make sure the designer and you have a clear understanding of you design needs. Look for diversity in their work. A designer who has diversity is a keeper, they can think out side of the box. Be sure the designer has wonderful communication skills and is resourceful. A big part of design is procurement. A designer who knows where to find unique bespoke products is a valuable find. Lastly, don't be afraid to talk money. I think this is the scariest thing for those looking for a designer. Be clear about your budget and ask what services you will receive. It will save you alot of headache in the long run.
