I am an adventurer. I am a photographer. I believe in Reason, Purpose and Self-Esteem. I love travel and I love taking pictures. (I also love cheese, coffee and beer, but you didn't really need to know all that, did you?). I enjoy snowboarding, a well supplied kitchen, cycling and when I’m not using up passport pages, I savor setting up a tent and taking refuge in our National Parks. My life is split between Wedding photography and International NGO/Travel Photography (I tend to live out of my backpack as often as not). I travel all over the world for work & play, and love that photography takes me new places and let’s me meet new people. My current bases of operation are Los Angeles and Seattle. Speaking of places: Are you getting married somewhere far away and exotic? I’d love to tag along and capture your celebration! I’ve traveled to nearly 60 countries and I’ve photographed weddings in France, Poland, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, Germany, Singapore, Colombia and many other places. My Photography I push the boundaries in composition, my images are bold, vibrant, layered, and richly textured. In a way, my photography is an extension of the way I see the world: complex, nuanced, diverse, and constantly-evolving. Tech Talk I love my Primes for a) the distinctive quality they lend to my images, b) the magic they work with ambient light, and c) for the awesome workout that they give me. Which really isn't bad because I need something to help keep the pounds off when I'm around wedding cakes every week... I love to incorporate off-camera lighting techniques and technical know-how to create in-camera the vivid colors in our images: Really, it's not Photoshop! About You You do not see photography as a commodity, and you understand that your wedding day photographer is not some vendor who shows up just to push a button. It is about creating a relationship of trust with someone whom you feel comfortable to share details of your life with, and in return, I will create a pictorial keepsake of a milestone day in your life. You value "the moments" more than "the stuff", and understand that the photos of the people nearest & dearest to you will get more precious as the years go by. You and I. I don't see you “just another couple" or one of the most significant days of your life as "just another wedding". You are a unique individual, a unique pairing, and I'd like to get to know you, let you get to know me, and hopefully you'll want me to create some awesome imagery for you too.
