FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I feel I am considerably less expensive than the majority. I chose my pricing this way because I wanted to be affordable to more households that are good dedicated pet owners but maybe they simply just don’t have the extra to invest at the present time but need help now. I have a extensive background in the shelter and animal control field, and if I can help keep a pet in its home then I am happy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to schedule a extra long first session that includes a consultation. I might as well get to work right away. I come to your home and I spend time initially speaking with you and observing your pets behavior from a few different angles. I then try a few different techniques and see how your pet reacts. I then get to work with the household on the why the behavior has manifested to how we can correct. Many clients are fully capable and willing to put in the work they just needed the advice, demonstration and support. Just like most trainers I’m a firm believer in the philosophy of “ I can train your pet to listen to me, but you really need them to listen to you!” However I do offer additional sessions that I can work structure and obedience with as well to help accelerate the process, and answering any questions you may have or a new issue that may arise. Every case is different and the amount of sessions truly are at the owners discretion and the success they have on their own.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Extensive veterinary assisting experience Extensive Humane Officer education/ Nationally Certified Wildlife management/ handling Education is a lifelong journey. I’m always reading and observing new developments in the animal behavior and husbandry realms.
