FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I require an upfront deposit for each project I take on. This is a non-negotiable 50% upfront fee that guarantees your spot on my commission list. I have an invoicing system that I use for all freelance work that allows me to give you proper receipts for each job completed and each fee that is paid. This system also allows me to give refunds if need be. Each commission price will vary based on the scale of the project, and the medium. Please feel free to ask me any question you make have about pricing or payment!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to talk to client to really get a feel for what it is they're looking for and what emotions they want their illustration(s) to portray. I'm all about constant and open communication, it makes for better illustrations and a better artist/client relationship! After accepting my proposal I will ask you first to sign an artist agreement that will legally protect both parties before proceeding to the illustration process. I ask for a 50% deposit before I start working on your commission and then I begin the sketch phase, then on to finalizing the piece before sending it your way. I like to have regular check-ins both during, and between phases so everything is to your satisfaction. Communication is key!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Illustration and Graphic Design at the world renown Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. It's known to produce brilliant artists specifically in the design and illustration areas.
