FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the competitive nature of Saturday weddings, rates have a minimum of $1,500 starting at 4 hours. (300-500 final images) Keep in mind, when hiring a photographer, you're hiring an artist! Things you should look for are style, quality and consistency. The reason wedding photography is pricey is because we invest thousands of dollars in high-end equipment + software into providing the best experience for those on the other end of our camera. It takes a lot of money, time + talent to perfect our craft so that you can receive the best of those three! My rates are already discounted through Thumbtack. I am willing to work within your budget if it is within reason!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I highly value capturing the true personality of the people I create with so asking questions and learning about you is a priority of mine! WEDDINGS: When booking to secure your date, there is a $300 deposit to reserve your day and a contract that states we are both committed to each other for that date. My process includes getting to know you! I want to hear your story so I can share it best through your personalized images. ENGAGEMENT: when booked, I'll ask you questions via email to get to know you as a couple and best prepare for your session. If booked within a wedding bundle, I send a fun worksheet to fill out together. PORTRAIT: meeting 15 mins before we begin shooting will allow us to get familiar and comfortable. I am very casual and if you're nervous in front of the camera, don't worry, I'm not! We will certainly have a great time and create some memories. *note: a contract and a deposit is standard within wedding bookings to secure the day for both parties.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am completely self-taught. 7 years ago I embarked on the journey of freelance photography and never looked back. I hold a BA in Musical Theatre from the American Musical Dramatic Academy of Los Angeles, so storytelling has been a theme and passion of mine since I can remember.
