FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every client and every project is different. My services are customized, and so is the pricing. Depending on the needs of the project, I may work on an hourly basis or on a fixed project fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With a prospective client, I'll do an initial consultation, either in person or on the phone. There's no charge for this, as we're just talking through the project to see whether we might be a good fit. If it's an editing job, I'll want to see a few sample pages so that I can gauge the level of editing needed, and so that the client can see a sample of my editing style. Then I'll submit a proposal. Once we agree on terms, we'll both sign a letter of agreement that outlines the scope of work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a communications professional for 25 years, and it's been a constant learning process, as the tools of the trade are continually evolving. I work at keeping my skills fresh with ongoing training courses and professional conferences.
