FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Dry 24 Water Restoration uses exact calculations based on the type of loss, lineal feet of wall or structure affected, cubic feet of air to dry, as well as square footage of floor or ceiling surface to dry. Calculations are regulated by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC). Dry 24 is a IICRC Certified Firm.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The Dry 24 Water Restoration Structural Drying Specialists has been extensively trained & certified on drying everything that applies to the structure of your home or business this includes hardwood flooring, sub-floors, drywall, sill plates, ceilings, furniture and of course carpet & pad. With your permission, your Drying Specialist, and his/her state of the art moisture detection devises, may begin a thorough inspection of the structural & content damage. He/She will also record exact moisture contents of the affected materials, temperatures, and humidity (relative and specific). Please walk with him/her while he/she does the evaluation so you can see and understand what is actually wet and how it needs to be corrected. Feel free to ask questions. He/she is very well trained and can be a valuable source of information. Furthermore, they will be inspecting for pre-existing MOLD, that may hinder or slow down restoration / repair process. When he/she has completed the inspection, he/she will be able to go over the different options, time frames, pricing and recommendations for the restoration and / or repair of your home. You and your insurance company, if applicable, can let us know how you would like us to proceed. Again, the Secondary Damage Containment is needed as soon as possible. (within 24 hrs of the water loss). Secondary Damage Ccontaiinment can prevent mold growth if started in time. The basic Secondary Damage Containment consists of installing high velocity air movers (to increase the rate of evaporation) and more dehumidification if needed (to remove the evaporated moisture from the air).
