FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Cooking classes run from $55 to $78 depending on foods and beverages being served. In catering or private chef, the types and fare of each event vary so drastically, that each estimate is custom given. No venue is too small (need an intimate dinner for 2 handled from soup to nuts?)....and larger events are limited to 100.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For cooking class: Just let me know you'd like to attend for which series! For catering or private chef: A client should call and have the following information: Date & time of event, number of attendees expected, type of fare, if they would like additional services such as live music, valet, a photographer, etc. We will then work up an estimate and then a full-fledged banquet event order. 50% deposit is required prior to event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the hospitality business for over 30 years, 15 of which has been as an award-winning owner-operator (42nd Street, the bistro, and The Wine Studio in Tampa and Sarasota). I have put on major events such as the SoHo Street Stroll, Grapes on the Greens (Carrollowood Country Club), as well as catering numerous events both on and off site.
