- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For weddings I charge $100.00 for the ceremony. $20.00 per hour up to 8 hours for the pre-marital counseling option. And I charge $0.50/mile for travel expenses and the cost of lodging + meals if lodging is necessary. For speaking engagements I will work with the client to determine the speaking, travel, meals and lodging.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer the option of 8 hours of pre-marital counseling which will cover all the basics of a Christ-centered marriage as well as planning your special day. If you choose not to do the counseling then I will meet with the couple and, if applicable, the wedding planner at least twice to plan the wedding ceremony. I will also be available for rehearsals. As far as speaking engagements, I will meet/talk with the client to determine dates, location and fees as well as any theme(s) the client would like for me to focus on. I will be in periodic contact with the client leading up to the speaking engagement and will have a contract for the client and myself to agree to and sign that will spell out the particulars of the talk/event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church. I have officiated approximately 30 weddings and have offered pre-marital counseling for nearly every one of them.
