- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk about their goals, expectations etc. I do the same for me. Then we talk about their history. Then we start with a baseline assessment of where they are now or for nutrition, a 3 day log of what they eat normally. I then go into a critique of their food or assessment. Tell them what's good, and what needs working on. We then proceed with the process of change, however long that may take for a certain person. We set goals along the way and assess as time goes on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Health and Wellness Bachelor Degree; Personal Training Certification through NASM, Fitness Nutrition Specialist through NASM.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It started when I majored in Health and Wellness in college. Then trying to find what I wanted to do after, it was suggested to get the personal training certification. This opened a whole new world for me and led me to the specialization in fitness nutrition. I always knew I wanted to help people live a more full life, I just didn't know how. Now I do.
