What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a complimentary introduction phone call to review client's goals and expections. When we agree to work together I email a new client packet to help the individual determine the 2-3 areas that they would like to focus on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BSN. I graduated from the University of Lowell, MA in 1989. I have a long and varied career working as a registered nurse. Nursing is a job that requires observation, asking the right questions, and active listening. The skills that make me an excellent nurse make me an excellent coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I enjoy helping others and will not let finances dictate my practice. If you are in need of coaching and are motivated to do the work contact me about working within your financial comfort zone. Clients typically need longer or more frequent sessions at the beginning of the process and less towards the end of the coaching relationship. People typically work with me for 3-6 months.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a 'helper' personality. Transitioning from nurse to coach has been easy, the skills are the same, good listening, intelligent thoughtful questions, caring, compassionate and the proper education.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The people I work with are often feeling stuck. They want to improve themselves in some way, mentally let go of stress or physically get healthier. Some want to change a relationship they are in with a spouse, child, parent, or friend. Others want to change their job/career. It is about wanting a change and getting unstuck!
