- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my focus on the body in Sports Medicine before I moved into Massage Therapy. I worked with both personal trainers and massage therapist for almost all of my work life, and sharing a passion with the people around you is awesome because there is so much you can learn from them. And now I get to use the knowledge from both to do what I love. I got into this like most others in these fields. I went to school and started practicing massage therapy, because I have a desire to help people. That being said I know that in no way is anyone in this industry one size fits all. Technique/style, pressure, personality all goes into each and every experience and you don't always match up with your first therapist. I want people to know not liking my work is not a reflection on how WELL I do my work, sometimes we just don't mesh the way that is needed. Now I don't take that personally and I WANT my clients to speak up if they ever feel that way so I can help them find the right fit, even if it is not me. My job and my goal is to help those I can, and those I cannot, help them find a contact to better suit their needs.
