Introduction: Besides the end product there is a great deal of work that goes into producing the final image. My services stand out because I take a significant amount of time meeting with the client before hand to discuss their needs as well as communication with them throughout the the shoot and into the final editing. My goal is to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the results. I enjoy the entire creative process. I love meeting with my clients and seeing their vision come to life.

After seeing some of Dan's previous work, I was totally set on shooting with him! He responded very quickly and after setting up a date a couple of weeks in advance, I was able to keep in contact with him and exchange ideas. We decided to do some nice headshots, some fun campy photos with a bright pink background, and finally I wanted some of his signature style- artsy black and white! For what I wanted, I have to say it was a very reasonable price, and the shoot went so well! I was a little nervous but he put on some background music and just chatted with me to calm my nerves. He also offered advice and helped refine my poses. The end results were fantastic! I couldn't be happier with the whole experience, and definitely recommend working with him if you get the privilege!

Dan and I had a Grace Jones inspired photo shoot. Besides being quite pleased with the photos, I was most impressed by his prep work and artistic vision. He made sure we were on the same page artistically by sharing images before hand of what he hoped to capture. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the shoot and was patient and flexible as we explored new ideas. Overall an excellent experience.

I hired Dan Baram to do portraits and landscapes for my small business in Honolulu. I was very pleased with the results. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While I have a general range for shoots/projects I can work on a sliding scale if someone can't afford the full cost. My aim is to have the client be happy with the final product and not feel stressed over it financially or otherwise.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually discuss the project over the phone and if we decide to move forward we meet and review some image as well as a contract. After that we some times share concepts via Pinterest. When all the preliminary work is done we conduct the actual shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked for over twenty years with people as a social worked. These skills help me ensure the client is comfortable and happy with the process of creating his/her photograph.
