FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bid by the job generally, I like to make things as turnkey as possible. That means I include materials in my quote and give my recommendations on materials that are more flexible for what will work best for the space. Bids depend on the intricacy required, the length of the project, the number of workers on the job as well as the varying cost due to material quality chosen by the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to come and have a first hand look at every job before taking it on. Some things require planning and special orders. I always make sure of everything that the client wants to tackle, measure what's needed and create a list of materials needed. I then work on an accurate quote that evening and email it back that night or the next morning for you to review.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a necessity to buy the things I wanted as a child. My father was a financier for house flipping and I started working under his GC when I was 11 doing demo, pressure washing and laying sod. I was able to buy my rollerblades after a LONG summer and find out next year I need a drum set! So it just continued from there, I kept wanting stuff and my dad kept making me earn it. I worked under his GC until I was 20 and went out on my own from there.
