Solo gave me a fixed price for sprinkler install, leveling some sink areas and covering leveled areas with grass, and weeding flower beds and putting down ground cover. Said it would take a few days, finishing before I left on vacation. Agreed to terms on June 7, his crew started June 8. I left on vacation June 12 for two weeks with everything half done. Today, the last of the leveling and sod was finally laid, but the flower beds are still half done, the piles of weeds and sod remnants are still in piles on our driveway and yard, and a few sprinkler heads are still not working and the drip zone isn't running. He still has one of our shovels, as well (crew showed up without tools the first day). As he was driving away today unannounced after dumping the waste back on our driveway, I called and texted to ask why he didn't take the waste as agreed. He didn't answer, but texted back, "Put in your rubbish can." I've had to call or text Solo almost every day, sometimes without response. When he did respond, it was with excuses on why he didn't show up when promised. He asked for more money several times, and the last time, July 10, he said he wouldn't be able to finish everything unless I paid him the rest of the budget, or else we'd just have to wait until he had more money to finish, whenever that would be. I reluctantly agreed so we could just get it all done. He came out the next day and laid about half of the sod needed (very unhealthy sod), and I had to call or text him every day since then to get the rest of the leveling and sod laid. He said he'd send his sprinkler guy to fix the sprinkler issues. We'll see. And we'll be re-weeding the beds and laying down new ground cover ourselves since none of them were finished and the weeds have all grown back and ground cover wasn't secured. He claims the agreement was not for sod, even though I clarified several times with him at the beginning that he would cover those areas, to which he repeatedly agreed. Each time he had a chance to measure for how much more sod he would need, he grossly underestimated and tried to tell me he needed more money. He also blamed many of his delays on showing up to his suppliers when they were closed and couldn't get what he needed. He completely mismanaged the project, and I'm very glad to not work with him anymore.

Said he would do my lawn on Thursday. Never heard anything back and wrote him a follow up early this morning Friday. Really sad and disappointed. I hope it could of worked out. :(.
