- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A majority of my clients weekly lawn service falls between $25-$45. Landscaping and other projects besides mowing are discussed on an individual basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact through phone or thumbtack and then a "soft quote" is given based on general description. Next, I meet in person to give the customer a chance to point out exactly what they need done and to give me a chance to assess the customer's needs. Then a "firm quote" is given and agreed upon. After the job is done the customer is consulted and asked to assess the service. If the customer is happy with the work and the quote has been satisfied then payment and reschedule is the last step. I keep in constant communication with new customers to be sure that I am executing the work that they want to be done so that a trusting relationship can be formed between household and lawn service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently studying entrepreneurship at Wichita State University and love running my own small business to fund my education. I have training in small engine repair and 6 years experience in the lawn care industry.
