FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do our best to make sure that you are always in control of the project's budget. At any point, if you have questions regarding pricing, please don't hesitate to ask. You don't want any surprises and neither do we. We will always try to keep your project as affordable as possible while at the same time, providing the quality that you expect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, there are two slightly different processes but each result in offering the best service possible as efficiently as we can. The first which happens mostly on smaller projects such as troubleshoots, receptacle additions, and fixture replacements. On projects like these, we can generally send a technician directly to your home and give you an idea of the price of your project right there on the spot so that there are no surprises. Throughout the process, any additional charges that may be required will immediately be communicated to you so that you are in complete control of your project's budget. The second process is for jobs that may be larger such as remodels, basement finishes, hot tub installations and swimming pools. With projects like these, I will personally come out to your home and discuss the project with you to make sure that I have all the information that I need, and also to make sure you have the opportunity to have all of your questions and concerns answered. Once we have covered everything that you would like to have done, I will then prepare proposal for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Personally, I am a Master Electrician and I also have a Class C Residential Contractors License. I have been working in the trade since 1991 and have worked on countless projects. M&J Electric of Wichita LLC is staffed with highly qualified technicians who have many years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. All of our licensed technicians are required to take 12 hours of continuing education every two years to keep their licenses current which helps ensure that they are current on any code changes and better able to install a quality product.
