Introduction: I am a portrait photographer in West Michigan, and I am committed to making the a portrait that captures the essence of the real you. My portraits are used for business, entertainment, modeling, and plain only personal enjoyment. I especially enjoy photographing women in a flattering and classy way. I make my portraits in a fully equipped professional studio on 28th Street in Wyoming, Michigan. My studio has a roomy and comfortable dressing room, so multiple wardrobe looks are very convenient. I also offer optional makeup and hair styling from a talented team of professional stylists. I enjoy photographing people who are anxious about being photographed. I will help you feel relaxed and confident, and I light you and pose you in a way that will flatter you and bring out your best features.

I put off having these photos done for almost 3 years. I’d been told before I was not photogenic. Every other photo session I’d had in my career had been painful and awkward. Dave was incredible and his stylist was extremely good. I still looked like myself, just a better version. Dave has a real knack for photographing women, and making them feel comfortable and confident. His photos are professional AND flattering. And most of all, not boring. :) Dave was able to draw out my personality, making me look very natural. I expected to get a few nice head shots. Instead, I ended up with a great mixture of professional, fun and even flirty shots that I can use for a variety of applications. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My professional headshot photo session is shot in our comfortable professional studio with full studio lighting and choice of backdrops. In includes thirty minutes of photography with flattering studio lighting, multiple wardrobe changes, and immediate selection of final images. The final selections are professionally retouched and available for download within 48 hours (usually sooner). Professional makeup and hair styling is available in studio for an additional fee. Also, on location portrait packages are also available.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin the process by giving clients a general idea of what my services cost and what is included for their general request. Then, I recommend clients visit my studio for a consultation to see my work, meet me and give me the chance to learn more about your project and wishes. There is no charge or obligation for the consultation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lifelong student of photography, in addition to formal intensive training with nationally recognized dance photographer Allen Birnbach and Nikon ambassador Joe McNally.
