FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $45.00/hour for a service call with a 1 hour minimum charge. But, I always prefer to meet the customer in person and review the project prior to giving an estimate. I believe this gives both the customer and myself a clear understanding of the project scope and expectations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to meet a customer in person during the estimating phase instead of providing quotes prior to reviewing the project in person. This allows the customer to ask me questions about my experience and develop a relationship. It also allows for an exchange of ideas prior to providing the proposal that may give the client a better understanding of the work that needs done, the best way to complete it, and the expectations for myself and the client. I provide detailed proposals based on the in-person project review. I communicate clearly with the client regarding the work schedule and any issues that may arise during the installation phase and I provide daily communication with the customer regarding the progress of the project. Our goal is to develop a long term relationship with every customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am formally trained as a journeyman electrician by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. I have worked for nearly 30 years in the construction industry and have experience in plumbing, painting, and general remodeling. I also work in partnership with an experienced Carpenter/Cabinet Maker and Master Plumber. These relationships allow me to offer a very diverse list of services while maintaining control of the quality of each project.
