Carlos came out in the evening and worked for about 1.5 hrs doing a maintenance check on my two systems. He found several code violations and design flaws in both systems. He explained in great detail about the safety hazards with not doing anything. He wanted to charge $45 even though he quoted 49/hr. I gave him more anyway. He wrote down everything on the receipt and included the costs to make repairs and then went into a detailed design proposal for replacing the systems with one multi-zoned system.Oct 18, 2016VerifiedAir of Garland's reply

You misled us. We gave you pricing then younare over 60 miles from the location you originally ststed on thumbtack. On top of this once you had our pricing, you wanted to repair flexible ducks by taping them with duct tape to save money. We are professionals. We do not do work like this.
My air conditioner wasn't cooling well enough. Efrain and Carlos looked at my whole system and explained what was happening. They explained how to correct the immediate problem and also how to correct circulation issues and what I needed to do to keep the system working correctly (filters cleaning etc) They quoted me a fair price and charged that price when the work was complete even though there was more coolant needed than they originally thought. I was even more pleased when Carlos called back later in the day to make sure that the system is cooling and said will come back if needed. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?yes we do. when a customer commits to a service contract with me, large discounts are given when repairs are needed. I use Walmart as an example, they might be in different places what your prices are going to be pretty much the same everywhere. it takes a lot of the stress away from both the customer and the company.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I show up on time I do what I say I'm going to do a follow through and say please and thank you. I thoroughly explain issues cause and effect so an informed decision can be made. My job is to diagnose and recommend. the customers is to approve or disapprove work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've been to variable speed heat pump classes for Carrier, Trane, Lennox and Rheem.
