Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A new client was audited by IRS because of the way his tax return had been filed. IRS was asking for over $12,000. IRS also was making wrong assumptions as to his specific case and why. This was an international client with above normal difficulties on a tax return. I was able to review the case, I became the client representative and was able to have the IRS reverse the entire $12,000 in tax they had assessed him. This took about six to seven months to complete.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First, feel comfortable with whomever you are dealing with. This individual should be a good listener to the details of the your situation in order to best help you. Find out how long they have been in business and if they have dealt with a similar situation like yours before.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
First have an idea of what you need and brain storm what you may want to accomplish. Once you have this started discuss it with the professional. The professional should understand what you are looking for and ask questions that may help you to figure out how to establish your project and how you want to proceed.
