Charles Dolph Music Lessons

Introduction: I have been a professional pianist and vocalist since 2013. As a performer I work in styles such as jazz, pop, R&B, blues, and country. I perform and record regularly with some of the most talented musicians in the LA area. I love performing music, but I also love sharing my knowledge with others. I have been offering private lessons since 2013, and I've also taught in a broad range of settings. My teaching experience ranges from being a full-time public school teacher to coaching professional ensembles for upcoming performances. I currently offer lessons in Voice, Piano, Guitar and Music Theory. As your teacher I will use my knowledge and experience to tailor your lessons to your style and your goals. I will give you the tools you need, whether you want to learn to play by ear, or learn to play a Beethoven Sonata. I am dedicated to giving my students a lifelong love of music. I strive to create an atmosphere where its safe and fun to learn from making mistakes. I like to challenge my students and when they succeed, their accomplishments feel like my own. I get super excited about the music I teach which makes it easy for my students to get excited too. My childhood music teachers had a huge positive influence on me and I hope to do the same for all my students.
