Introduction: Teaching karate and self defense, I specialized in children who are being picked on. I teach these youngsters privately in my school or your home if they are shy. I am a ninth degree holder in Trimm No Shin karate and the Kobudo System; I also hold a sixth degree in Isshinryu karate. My passion is teaching with positive reinforcement techniques. I also hold a degree in social work from Adelphi University in Garden City, Long Island, New York. My accomplishments in martial arts include the following: * April 9, 1973 - Became a lifetime member in Okinawan American Karate Association * July 26, 1975 - Received my first degree black belt from Steve H. Sensei Trimm is an outstanding teacher. I wanted to learn how to protect myself. I didn't want to be the woman at the mall who had her purse snatched or someone who was thrown into the back of a truck and abducted. Sensei Trimm taught me self defense , how to help myself if ever I need it. I highly recommend him as a teacher for anyone wanting to learn self defense and martial arts.
