Introduction: Teaching karate and self defense, I specialized in children who are being picked on. I teach these youngsters privately in my school or your home if they are shy.
I am a ninth degree holder in Trimm No Shin karate and the Kobudo System; I also hold a sixth degree in Isshinryu karate. My passion is teaching with positive reinforcement techniques. I also hold a degree in social work from Adelphi University in Garden City, Long Island, New York.
My accomplishments in martial arts include the following:
* April 9, 1973 - Became a lifetime member in Okinawan American Karate Association
* July 26, 1975 - Received my first degree black belt from Steve H. Armstrong.
* 1976 - Received my second degree black belt from Lewis Lizotte. To receive my second degree black belt, I had to fight everyone in the Dojo including Sensei Lewis Lizotte.
*1980 - Received my third degree black belt from the board of directors of the American Okinawan Karate Association.
*1983 - fourth degree black belt from Steven H. Armstrong, William Adams and the board members of the A.O.K.A.
*July 1987 - fifth degree black belt in Isshinryu karate from Sensei Arsenio J. Advincula
*October 1990 - sixth degree black belt in Isshinryu from Sensei Arsenio J. Advincula
*July 12, 1992 - One of my top black belts, Eric Latza, went to Argentina to fight for the United States and he came back with the gold medal
*January 1993 - Went to Okinawa, Japan to train under some of the masters in Isshinryu karate. During that trip, I also studied under Kobudo Masters
*July 4, 1994 - Birth of Trimm No Shin Karate and Kobudo System
*September 15, 1996 - another one of my black belts, John Del Vecchio, went to New Zealand to fight for the United States, and he too came back with the gold
*July 11, 1999 - Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame as instructor of the year
*September 9, 2002 - Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame again this time as Grand Master of the Year
*September 4, 2004 - became recognized as ninth degree black belt in Trimm No Shin karate and Kobudo by World Head of Family Sokeship Council
*May 27, 2006 - In Orlando, Florida, inducted into the Martial Arts Hall Of Fame as Grand Master and Instructor of the Year by the Sokeship Council
