FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
After an initial consultation to assess your needs ($50. minimum applied to rate when hired) I generally charge $50.-150. hour with a three hour minimum. I am open to working out a day rate with clients if the job is involved.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We would first discuss your goals and what you would expect from our sessions. I would ask you to prepare for our first meeting by gathering a few pages from magazines, catalogs or online of looks that you envision for yourself. Next would be a closet audit where we would make a few piles of things to toss, trash, donate, repair or dryclean. Re-hang, colorize and re-organize your closets and drawers. We would discuss your shopping budget and strategy. and compile a list of your needs. I will shop with you (preferred) or shop and bring to you( which would involve purchasing and returning with your credit card and permission). I can then return with you to your space and organize the new purchases with the 'keeps'.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended RI College as an Art Ed Major, graduated from RISD with a BFA . I immediately moved to New York City upon graduation and assisted a top fashion stylist in the business for a few years, before going out on my own. I have 30+ years of successfully running my own entrepreneurial business in NY and LA styling models and celebrities for catalogs, advertising campaigns, red carpet events, television and film and have always provided styling assistance to real people!
