- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Mr. Mallonee was destined to become a criminal defense lawyer all along. He was making creative arguments soon after he could talk. He studied criminology as an undergraduate at the University of Florida. He worked as a licensed private investigator when he was 19 years old. During that time his employer was contracted to do criminal investigations for the public defender's office. This is where he learned to pound the pavement and find witnesses that were vital to the mounting of a defense.
