WE CANNOT RAVE ENOUGH! We were VERY pleased with how our whole event went! We were planning a 60th wedding anniversary party for our parents and posted a request for quote for up to 60 people on Thumbtack. Within a few hours we received a quote from M&J2 Catering. The quote was within budget, but they also encouraged us to give them a call to discuss special services that they provide at no extra cost - china plates and real flatware! No foil pans - stainless chaffing dishes and china platters. We were able to very easily work out the details of our vision for the event - again, with the "extras" and within budget. The day of the event went sooo smoothly. The professional team arrived on time with all food piping hot. The service area was set up with in no time. Our guests raved about the menu and tastiness of the food. There was very generous portions of everything except the chicken scampi - no fault to M&J2 Catering - it was just so good, just about everyone went back for seconds! We were so pleased everything!

THE PERFECT WEDDING SHOWER As someone that has attended more than my share of wedding showers, and other such events, I felt the need to write this review of a truly well planned and executed event. My son,(my baby!) was getting married to the love of his life and I was determined to make their wedding shower a very special and memorable. I believe in using local talent that comes recommended by very positive word of mouth remarks. This brought me to Mary Warner - M&J2 Catering. She is a mother herself and knows the importance of events like this and how meaningful it is to have family and close friends together to celebrate. I had a few basic ideas as far as a theme, budget, and number of guests were concerned but really couldn't visualize how to put this all together. I just left that to Mary and she took it from there. She helped us select a great menu, which was then prepared to perfection. The decorations and flowers were beautiful and they complimented my new "daughters" personality and style, elegant but not over stated. Everything from the linen to the China , from the appetizers to the entree, from the punch to the coffee bar.....perfection! She was there to keep everything moving along and on schedule. You can just imagine how disorganized it could get with 80 women in one room . Not to worry, everyone raved about every bit of this wonderful day. I've had several ladies ask me about how to reach my special event organizer. Well done Mary, you are the best. Thanks again for all your hard work. From a Very Happy Mother In-Law

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a team, we review all request provided by Thumbtack. We are a small operation that really likes to connect with our clients, providing an initial basic quote. Where the fun begins is when we work with our clients to tweak the menu and serving options. We pride ourselves in exceeding each and every one of our clients' events as the special occasion that it is!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Each team member has numerous years of experience in event execution. We think of the little things and bring them "to the table". We all love to entertain, and strive to have our gatherings unique and memorable. We are creative and possess a strong attention to detail and individuality. How did you get started doing this type of work?
We started out, years ago, planning and hosting family gathering and celebrations. Guest were so impressed and asked if we did this professionally. That was our AHHA moment - let's share our passion for food and entertaining and celebration with others!
