- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in the importance of ALL children and families being able to "find their 'happy'" regardless of their finances. For this reason, we offer a sliding scale fee and scholarship opportunities. In addition, the mental health assessment fee may be waived in certain circumstances.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I attend several trainings every season. I also teach workshops in the community to spread the word about mental healthcare and play therapy.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked as a parent aide for several years providing several services to parents that were under state investigation. I enjoyed my role of helping families find a solution to their problems, but I was interested in seeking out a role that sought to prevent circumstances that led to families being separated or under investigation. I spoke with several therapists and realized that it was the best direction for me.
