- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I start with a flat rate of $50.00 per hour. This is less than most counseling. Even though I use this rate as a ballpark, since my goal is to really help people (rather than to make money), I am open to discussing a rate that is affordable to the person seeking help.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I start with an over the phone interview to determine if we are a good fit. During the first session, I will mostly be listening and asking key questions to determine the root issues that the counselee is facing. After I feel that I have an accurate understanding of the challenges, I will give the applicable Biblical principles that can provide hope and resolution for the counselee. The last phase involves support and accountability as the principles are applied and victory is experienced.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have received training from New Tribes Bible Insitute and the Biblical Counseling Center. I have been counseling for about 8 years in various ministry contexts.
