FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, I charge 30 dollars per hour lesson unless I am required to travel more than 5 miles.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I gauge the needs of my clients and then assess what level of experience they may or may not have already achieved. After that, we plan out the best way to accomplish the goals of the client. I do not view teaching as a singular one size fits all endeavor, and the best way to keep people involved is by letting them take control of the creative process. Once a student has a solid grasp on the fundamentals, we are able to utilize these skills any way we see fit. Scales, chords, harmony, songwriting, sight reading and transcribing are all concepts that I am more than willing to go over.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess a Bachelor's degree in music, and I've played the guitar for over ten years. I've played in both original and cover bands, and have sat in during recording sessions. I've been working as a teacher for one year.
