- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell into this line of work because of my father. When he offered me work at age 12, I couldn't turn him down. At first, as a youngster, I was just excited to have a way to make a little money, but as I grew up, and watched customers faces as they beheld their new creations in their home, it became an addiction. The beauty that can come up out of ashes is amazing to behold.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The majority of jobs that I do are full bathroom and kitchen remodels. I specialized in tile for awhile and feel very comfortable in working in these wet rooms, but over the past several years, I have branched out to building decks, outbuildings, outdoor kitchens, and roofing.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my recent jobs that I completed was a kitchen remodel for a wonderful couple. Their children have recently gone off to college and they were ready for a change. I started with their bathroom. Two weeks later, they brought me back for their laundry room. A month later, I received a call to remodel their kitchen and hallways, with painting, hardwood, new ceilings, and beautiful cabinets. They have told me that they are soon building out their outbuildings and they would choose no one but New Creations Tile.
