Introduction: I believe I provide a highly individualized form of tutoring where I get down with the student to observe where they are then offer them guidance where needed. I believe all students were created equal and have outstanding potential. My hope is to inspire a career in mathematics by showing the student how exciting math is! Problems become adventures! A side or more prime benefit is increased self esteem! I love math and enjoy seeing others see its beauty.

I set up the tutoring for my grandson. He had completed some of his algebra lessons, but was having problems as the algebra got more advanced. I contacted several tutors & the only one that responded was Lou & he did so in a timely manner. A meeting was scheduled. I sat at the table as he tutored my grandson. The 1st thing he did was try to find out where he was in his understanding of his algebra. He didn't give him the answers, but was patient as my grandson tried to figure it out. Lou realized that my grandson had missed some of the basics. He felt my grandson should review the chapters he had already completed & do the review tests. He felt he could do it on his own if he did that, but if he had any questions or problems, he was willing to help. As we only had 2 sessions, this saved me a lot of money & helped my grandson with some of the basics. Since I was not the student, I asked my grandson about the experience. His reply was "I would give him the highest rating & would recommend him. He explained things several ways until I understood it". Along with my observations, that is how I gave my rating. My grandson has completed & passed his algebra.
