- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continue my education everyday. I read books, blogs and articles about fitness and nutrition. I listen to various podcasts, attend conferences and take classes, I try to decipher all of the mixed and conflicting information about food, supplements, exercise etc., so my clients can receive the best console on each subject.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always enjoyed being active. That being said, there was a time in my life when I was uncomfortable and unhappy with my health and body image. I contemplated seeing a trainer for a long time until I finally did and the experience changed my life.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
We don't all yell at people. That happens in the media. Your trainer is your coach, she is there to support you and help you reach your goals. It is so important to build a trusting a relationship based on open, honest dialog. No one should be made to feel bad about themselves when they are giving their best.
