Introduction: I am experienced, intuitive, and purposeful and care deeply about my craft. I custom tailor your session to suit your specific needs while creating an environment and experience to relax and rejuvenate body and mind. As busy as my days can get with the administrative aspects of owning a business, once I'm in a session, the stress of the day just falls away. I am present and centered; focused on allowing the muscle tissue to direct and lead. I love giving massage almost as much as receiving them. It’s truly the best part of my day!

Every day my feet hurt and every evening I begged my husband to rub them while we watched TV. He massaged them for a half hour or more at a time but it barely put a dent in my plantar fasciitis symptoms. And as soon he finished, they ached just as much as before he started. Enter Amy Ritter of Selah Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. I described what I was going through and she explained that even though the pain was in my feet, the problem stemmed from shortened calf muscles. She showed me that those muscles extend around my heel and attach at the bottom of my foot, which, lo and behold, was the exact epicenter of my pain. She said rubbing my feet all day would never fix the issue and helped me figure out that the problem could have been caused (or at least, made worse) by sitting at the breakfast bar in my kitchen for extended periods of time, which kept my feet in a “pointed” position. For what felt like two glorious hours—but what was probably more like 20 minutes on each leg—she methodically and patiently performed deep tissue massage until my calf muscles relaxed and released. I don’t remember if she ever even touched my feet, but when she was finished they didn’t hurt anymore. After being enlightened by Amy, I found a new perch for working on my computer and was careful to adjust the position of my feet whenever sitting on the barstools in my kitchen. They pain has never returned. One of my recurring pleasures in life is not only receiving massage from Amy Ritter, but recommending her to friends and relatives, and even acquaintances. Time and again I’ve benefited from her intuitive sense of what I need, the type of massage, amount of pressure and time spent in each area, as well as her great advice that has helped prevent and reverse problems. As her client, I put myself in the hands of someone I can trust and the presence of great skill and generous kindness. Selah Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork is a real gift that is impossible to receive too often.
