Introduction: My services and skills include the following: * Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, or staples * Cutting, sewing, and matching garments to accommodate the furniture * Attach fasteners, grommets, buttons, buckles, ornamental trim, and other accessories to covers or frames using hand tools * Experienced in using hammers, magnetic hammers, tack hammers, staple removers, tack pullers, fabric punches, snap setters, multipurpose sewing needles, upholstery needles, webbing stretchers, foam saw, scissors and industry sewing machine, cushion stuffer and a horse chair shredder * Match cloth pieces in correct sequences prior to sewing them and verify that dye lots and patterns match * Examined furniture frames, upholstery, springs and webbing to locate defects * Removed covering, webbing, padding, or defective springs from work pieces, using hand tools such as hammers and tack pullers * Ability to offer attention to detail and measure accurately * Guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser foot to sew parts together * Sewed with a walking foot sewing machine and an industrial sewing machine * Adept at working with wingback chairs, dining room chairs, rockers, benches, imperial armchair, couches, love seats, office chairs, outdoor furniture, hospital furniture, restaurant booths and also furniture that predates 1950s style * Skilled in working with a variety of different types of fabrics including leather, vinyl, cottons, and polyester * Worked from and created patterns from existing products * Consistently maintained a 90% or better productivity rate * Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment * Providing excellent customer service and communicate effectively with others * Ability to swim. * Experience in stripping, sanding and staining furniture using lacquer thinner, furniture stripper, stains and different types of sanders
