Introduction: I'm here for people that have a great new product idea, but don't know how to convert that idea into a physical model and beyond. The first step is to turn the product idea or concept into a computer model. The next step may be to build a prototype to be used for: 1) a proof of concept, 2) a proof of fit, form and function, or 3) to provide a working model of the product for investor meetings, demonstrations, etc. I'm very familiar with the latest rapid prototyping technologies (3D printers, selective laser sintering (SLS), etc.) in order to quickly create a physical part. I'm also here for people who have a backlog of new product design work that they just can't seem to get to with everything on their plate. I can off load a few of the projects and get them moving, again. I work with a customers' ideas, concepts, sketches, layouts, etc. Together, I help them create well-engineered, detailed designs of the individual parts, assemblies, etc. I have many years of experienced designed "tooled" parts for plastic injection molding, metal die casting, sheet metal forming, etc. I then can help get the parts prototyped. If needed, I can also help search for a company to manufacture the part. I've have over 15 years of mechanical design experience bringing new products to market. I'm an advanced user of SolidWorks CAD program. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC-Berkeley. And to help with the business and finance end of a project, I also have an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from the Dominican University of California.
